The method is as simple as it is effective. While participating in, and observing, management's work and meetings, we continuously share our observations and recommendations. This often enough reveals a gap between what management does - and what it would actually like to do. The very gap may turn decisive for whether or not changes are implemented within the company, and whether it develops in the desired direction.
When the gap is identified and behaviour twisted minimally, magic just may materialize. Collaboration suddenly becomes connected. Conversations shift. Agendas are advanced to allow for execution while we reason together.
Executive teams primarily practice being efficient executors. Norms for productive reasoning are to be nurtured in order to deal with real difficult issues. Defensiveness in group dynamics needs to be minimized, trusted interpersonal relations are to be built. The dialogue turned inquisitive, ideas need to flow freely, confrontations should be out in the open and everyone need to act with less self-interest.
I have been fortunate enough to help management with this process of development and change numerous times. The idea behind establishing Bcc, is to keep doing just that.
